Walkways & Steps
Paver and natural stone walkways with steps engineered to stay level through freeze-thaw heaving.
Walkways take a different kind of abuse than patios — foot traffic, snow shovels, and de-icing salt all winter long. We use slip-resistant paver and natural stone surfaces and, on any stepped section, pour frost-depth footings so the steps stay level instead of heaving unevenly year to year, which is the most common walkway complaint we hear from homeowners with older installs.
Where grade allows, we can build ADA-friendly slope transitions instead of steps, and we run low-voltage path lighting conduit during construction so lighting can be added now or later without tearing anything up.

What Customers Say
“Our old retaining wall was leaning so badly we were worried about the deck above it. Bay Ridge tore it out, found the drainage problem nobody else had mentioned, and rebuilt it properly with drain tile behind it. Two winters later it hasn't moved an inch.”
“The patio turned out better than the design mockup, which never happens. They walked us through every material choice and the crew was on our property working, not standing around, every single day.”
“We use our outdoor kitchen from May through October and it still looks brand new. The stainless held up through last winter with zero rust, exactly like they said it would.”
